1. What this site is

ClearedFor107 (the "Site") is an independent study aid operated by ClearedFor107 ("we," "us"). It provides lessons, interactive exercises, practice questions, flashcards, practice exams, and training records to help people prepare for the FAA Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG) knowledge test for a Remote Pilot Certificate under 14 CFR part 107. These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Site, including visitors who take the free sample test without an account.

The Site is not affiliated with, approved by, or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration or any government agency, and it is not an FAA-approved training course. Figures reproduced from FAA publications are public-domain government works and are included for study only. Links to outside sites, such as the FAA, IACRA, PSI, and FAADroneZone, are provided for convenience; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, fees, or availability.

2. No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee that you will pass the FAA knowledge test, earn a Remote Pilot Certificate, or achieve any other result. Scores on practice questions and practice exams are not predictions of your score on the FAA test. The practice questions are original; the FAA test draws on its own question bank, which we do not have and do not reproduce. Your results depend on your own study, preparation, and performance.

3. Accuracy of content

We try to keep the content accurate and current, but it may contain errors or omissions, and regulations, advisory circulars, and testing standards change. The official sources control, including 14 CFR parts 48, 89, and 107, AC 107-2A as amended, the current Remote Pilot Airman Certification Standards, and current FAA testing materials. If anything on the Site conflicts with an official source, follow the official source.

4. Not professional advice; your responsibility as a pilot

Content on the Site is general educational information. It is not legal, aviation-operational, or other professional advice, and it does not replace instruction from a qualified instructor or your own review of the regulations. You alone are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to any aircraft you operate, for determining whether a flight can be conducted safely, and for every decision you make as a remote pilot in command.

5. Certificates of completion

A certificate of completion from the Site records only that you met the Site's course requirements. It is not an FAA airman certificate, rating, endorsement, waiver, or authorization, and it does not permit you to operate any aircraft.

6. Accounts

Accounts are created by invitation. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Instructors can see the progress, scores, and reported FAA test results of the students assigned to them. Questions you send to an instructor can be seen and answered by any instructor on the Site. We may suspend or remove any account at our discretion, including for misuse or for sharing exam content. The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

7. Course access and your records

Student course access does not expire: you can use the lessons, quizzes, flashcards, and practice exams for as long as the Site is offered. Certificates of completion do not expire either: you can download yours at any time, and its verification page stays available indefinitely. You can record whether you passed the FAA knowledge test. If you did not pass, you may enter the ACS codes from your FAA test report to build a review plan for those subjects. Progress, scores, and certificates are kept and are not reset.

Your account information (name, email, a securely hashed password), study progress, quiz and exam results, flashcard progress, certificate records, the FAA test result you report, FAA test report codes you enter, questions you send your instructor, and feedback you send are stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., our hosting provider, and are processed on its servers. Your instructor and the site administrator can see this information. If you joined with a group link, your organization's group leader can see your course progress: lessons and section quizzes finished, your best practice exam score, whether you finished the course, the FAA test result you report, and when you were last active. Answers to the free sample test are graded but not saved. Your browser also keeps a few preferences on your device, such as your color theme and your place in a lesson; these stay on your device. If you write a review of the course and check the box agreeing to share it, we may show your review, rating, name in the form you chose, and location on the Site and in our advertising; you can ask us to remove it at any time. End-of-course survey answers are used only to improve the course. We do not sell your information. To ask for your account to be deleted, contact your instructor or the site administrator.

8. Beta testing

If you join through a beta-testing link, you are using a pre-release version of the Site. Features and content may be incomplete, change, or contain errors. Beta access does not expire on its own, but it can be ended at any time, with or without notice, and your account and data from the beta may be removed. Each beta link works for one person only; please do not share it. Beta testers test the Site through a practice student profile and a practice instructor profile that use made-up data; nothing done in test mode affects real students, instructors, or accounts. Problem reports, suggestions, and feedback that testers send are real and are kept.

Any feedback, suggestions, or corrections you send are voluntary. You grant us a free, permanent, worldwide right to use them to improve the Site or any related product, without compensation or attribution.

9. Fees

The Site is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce fees in the future. If we do, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged unless you agree to the fees and the payment terms at that time.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEAREDFOR107 AND ITS INSTRUCTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE, INCLUDING TEST OR RETEST FEES, LOST INCOME OR OPPORTUNITY, DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT OR PROPERTY, PERSONAL INJURY, OR FINES, PENALTIES, OR ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SITE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50) IF YOU PAID NOTHING. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ClearedFor107 and its instructors from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your operation of any aircraft, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the Site.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
